The Autumn Season is the perfect time to invite into your home the beauty of nature.
This time of year is such a sensory experience of vibrant colors, scents and flavors!
Vastu principles tell us how to bring harmony and abundance into our homes.
Vastu aligns us with the forces of nature by guiding us on how to display and enhance our home with this powerful season of bounty, warmth and vibrancy!
Let me share some powerful ways to apply Vastu principles during the Autumn season to create peace and prosperity in your home environment.
- Earth elements are solid and visual. We can be stimulated by decorating with pumpkins, ghords, cornstalks and haystacks that can be positioned by a front door or specifically to the Southwest of our home environment to create a feeling of grounding and stability.
- Air elements are connected to our sense of smell. By placing fresh apples, oranges, and lemons in a bowl with cinnamon sticks, we feel invigorated and delighted. My favorite way to enhance the scents in a home is through homemade potpourri which includes clove and essential oils such as orange, lemon and cinnamon. I make my own and engage in the creative process! If placed in the Northwest, it will support relationship harmony and emotional peace.
- The fire element is acquired by lighting a candle or igniting a fireplace. What is more nurturing and warming than a fire lit using wooden logs! If lighting a candle, light to the Southeast to help with energy levels and health issues.
- The water element is achieved via a fountain, bowl of water or diffuser placed in the Northeast. Drop some essential oils in the water to further enhance the experience of flow and fluidity consciousness.
- Space is the final element associated with Vastu. Keep your environment clear of clutter and decorate minimally with impact! Colors, textures and patterns can add a punch without much effort and space consumption.
This is Vastu!
Invite the elements of the Autumn season in, and watch your life come alive with harmony, contentment and abundance!
